Hey There
I’m Natalie, founder of Reyt Sauna.
Movement has always been a part of who I am. I studied Sports Science and have played football for as long as I can remember - a passion that’s grounded me no matter where life has taken me.
From 2016 to 2022 I lived in several countries in the middle east with my family. Whilst living there I worked as a personal trainer, taught in schools, and I continued to play football. Wherever I was in the world, staying active, particularly playing for a football team gave me connection, routine, and a sense of home.
In 2022, whilst going through a difficult chapter, I returned to the UK as a single mum to three amazing souls. That’s when I found the cold - it started as open-water swimming during triathlon training in Dubai, and then in the lakes here in the UK for another Triathlon. What started as swimming, quickly became a winter dipping practice and a profound tool for regulating my nervous system, healing and reconnecting with myself - this is where my relationship with the cold began!
While sauna wasn’t part of my regular routine back then, combining it with cold - contrast therapy - was a game-changer. It wasn’t just physical recovery anymore. It was nervous system repair. Stillness. Strength. A reset.
"Reyt Sauna was born out of this lived experience and the purpose to help others feel better."
I’m passionate about sharing this practice with others - not just the physical benefits, but the mental, emotional, and nervous system reset it offers. I’m especially fascinated by the science behind it all - how cold, heat, nature, and stillness helps us feel and live better. I now know that living well goes far beyond training and nutrition. Sleep, nature, cold, heat, breathwork, mindset tools, stillness, and community are all part of the puzzle.
When I’m not in a cold tub, lake or sauna, you’ll find me road-tripping, watching a sunset, dancing to music (often in the kitchen!), or deep-diving into something sciencey.
Thanks for being here. I’m so glad you’ve found Reyt Sauna - I hope you come to love contrast therapy as much as I do, and feel the support of this growing community!
